Easy Pesto Pastas

  • 1 pound pasta
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 Salt and pepper to taste


  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until it’s al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • While the pasta is cooking, prepare the pesto sauce. Add the basil, Parmesan cheese,pine nuts, and garlic to a food processor or blender and pulse until coarsely chopped.
  • With the machine running, slowly pour the olive oil until the mixture becomes a smooth, creamy sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Transfer the pesto sauce to a large serving bowl and add the cooked pasta. Toss until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
  • If desired, serve hot and garnish with additional grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
