by ardentadmin

There are so many things to love about this bread recipe, it tastes good, it only requires four ingredients and it’s easy to make!

Ingredients:

3 cups of all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp active yeast
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups of warm water
Flour for dusting

Directions

1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.
2. Add the flour and salt. Stir until blend
3. Cover the bowl in plastic wrap and let the dough rest for 9-12 hours at room temperature. Note: The dough is ready when its top is dotted with bubbles.
4. When the dough is ready, lightly flour an area on the countertop and place the dough on it. Sprinkle it with flour and fold it over on itself twice. Cover with plastic wrap for 15 minutes.
5. After 15 minutes, use flour to keep the dough from sticking to the countertop. Shape the dough into a ball.
6. Coat a clean dish towel with flour or cornmeal and put the seam side of the dough on the dish towel and add more flour.
7. Cover with a clean dish towel and let sit for 1-2 hours. Note: When it is ready the dough will double in size.
8. Start the oven at 475 degrees for 20 minutes and put an empty 6 to 8-quart cast iron oval Dutch oven with lid (or ceramic oval Dutch oven) in the oven.
9. When the dough is ready remove the Dutch oven from the oven and lift off the lid.
10. Slide your hand under the towel, turn the dough over into the Dutch oven, add the lid, and bake for 30 minutes.
11. Remove the lid and continue to bake for 15 minutes until the top is browned.
12. Finally, remove the bread from the Dutch oven and let it cool on a rack for 1 hour.
